Thibaut Le Bertre

Thibaut Le Bertre obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1984 from the Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC). He was a Staff Astronomer at the European Southern Observatory (La Silla) in charge of the IR instrumentation for six years (1984–1990). He is presently a Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique Scientist at the Observatory of Paris (LERMA). His scientific interests deal with the evolution of stars, the mass loss processes, the formation of circumstellar shells, and the injection of stellar matter into the interstellar medium. Presently, he is exploring the properties of circumstellar shells around galactic red giants (AGB stars) using radio techniques.
