Dolores Isla, holder of the M.D., Ph.D. degrees, has been a Consultant in medical oncology since 1993 and is the Head of the Lung Cancer Unit at Medical Oncology Department, Hospital Clínico Lozano Blesa, Zaragoza, Spain. Her Medicine degree was completed at the University of Zaragoza, Spain, and Medical Oncology Training at Hospital Clínico Lozano Blesa, Zaragoza, Spain. Her Ph.D. degree was obtained in May 1992 (with distinction). Dr. Isla was an Associate Professor of Medicine Department at the School of Medicine at the University of Zaragoza, Spain, from 1999 to 2008. She has membership of many professional and speciality groups including American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC), and Sociedad Española de Oncología Médica (SEOM). Dr. Isla also is a Board Member of the cooperative research group Spanish Lung Cancer Group (SLCG). She is the Principal Investigator of many different research trials based on lung cancer, preferably. In addition, she is the author of international publications and book chapters mainly focused on lung cancer research, including experimental studies on basic and clinical applied.
