Nguyen Tien Huy

Nguyen Tien Huy earned his M.D. degree as the valedictorian from Ho Chi Minh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) in 1996. From 1996 to 1998 he worked for the Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City as an Intern Clinical Medical Doctor of Infectious Diseases of Ho Chi Minh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In 2002 he gained his Ph.D. degree from Kyoto Institute of Technology, Kyoto, Japan, with a thesis on the antimalarial mechanism. Between 2002 and 2007 he was a postdoctoral fellow at Kyoto Institute of Technology. From 2007, he was an Assistant Professor at Institute of Tropical Medicine (NEKKEN), Nagasaki University, Nagasaki, Japan, and started to work on clinical research of several infectious diseases. He was appointed as an Associate Professor at the Nagasaki University in 2013. Nguyen Tien Huy is involved in a multidisciplinary collaboration in infectious diseases research on finding novel biomarkers of diseases severity, prediction model, and multiplex diagnosis.
