Andrea Stringer is currently an NHMRC Postdoctoral Training Fellow at the University of South Australia. Stringer also lectures in a number of physiology and biosciences courses. Stringer's Ph.D. degree was conferred in 2009 from the University of Adelaide, SA, Australia, with a thesis titled "Chemotherapy-induced mucositis: the role of gastrointestinal microflora and mucins in the luminal environment." Stringer's current research interests are mucositis, gut microflora, oral microflora, and the interaction between the luminal contents and the mucosa in the gut. Stringer currently has 24 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
