Carolina Belver Coldeira

Carolina Belver Coldeira is currently working in the Autonoma University of Madrid in the Chemical Engineering Dpt. Her specialization and current researches are related to design, processing and evaluation of novel nanocomposites for applications in industrial processes for sustainable chemistry. Graduated in Chemistry at the Autonoma University of Madrid in 1997, she presented her undergraduate degree in 2001 at the University of Salamanca. She defended her PhD in Chemistry at the Inorganic Chemistry Dpt. of this University in 2004, winning the Extraordinary Award of Doctorate. Her postdoctoral stage began in June 2004 due to a contract of employment at the Inorganic Chemistry Dpt. of the University of Salamanca, with the aims to develop high-value materials from natural clays by chemical transformations. In January 2005, she enjoyed a contract funded by the Spanish Government at the Catalysis and Petrochemistry Institute (CSIC) where she participated in researches related to the design of novel nanostructured materials with applications in environmental catalysis. In April 2007, she enjoyed a contract in Complutense University of Madrid, focussing on enhancing biocatalysts and processes for the use of glycerol. Subsequently, since April 2008 to December 2010, she enjoyed a postdoctoral contract granted by CSIC and the European Social Fund at the Material Science Institute of Madrid (CSIC); devoted to the development of nanocomposites with technological applications from natural silicates. She has been involved in European and Spanish projects. She has cooperated with other countries (France, United Kingdom, Peru), and participate in research contracts with private companies. Author of thirty-six publications in SCI journals and six chapter-books with ISBN, she has involved in teaching activities and has been supervisor of Master Thesis. A total of fifty-eight communications has been presented in national and international congresses.
