Jingdong Wang

Jingdong Wang serves as an Associate Researcher at the Media Computing Group, Microsoft Research Asia. He received the M.Eng. and B.Eng. degrees in automation from the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2001 and 2004, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, in 2007. His areas of interest include machine learning, pattern recognition, multimedia computing, and computer vision. In particular, he has worked on kernel methods, semisupervised learning, data clustering, sparsity, large-scale data processing, image segmentation, and image and video presentation, management and search. He has published one book and over 40 papers in top venues including TPAMI, IJCV, TMM, PR, SIGGRAPH, CVPR, ICCV, ACM MM, SIGIR, ICML, and ICME. He is an Editorial Board Member of ISRN Artifcial Intelligence and has served as the program committee members or reviewers of computer vision, multimedia conferences, and journals including ICCV, CVPR, ECCV, ACM MM, SIGIR, KDD, SIGGRAPH ASIA, TMM, PR, TIP, TCSVT, and TPAMI.
