Ross Cullen has a B.Com. degree and a Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He taught and researched at Lincoln University, New Zealand, from 1991 to 2012 where he was Professor of Resource Economics. He is an Editor of the Australian Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics. Cullen has published widely in resource and environmental economics, particularly on biodiversity economics. His current research focuses on biodiversity management and evaluation of biodiversity projects, agriculture, forestry and ecosystem services, and public perceptions of the state of the environment.
