Guang-Guo Ying

Guang-Guo Ying was born in China in 1964. He received his B.S. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1986 and Ph.D. in environmental chemistry and toxicology from the University of Adelaide in Australia in 1999. He has worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Melbourne and the CSIRO Land and Water (Australia) for many years. Currently, he is a Professor of environmental chemistry and ecotoxicology in the State Key Laboratory of Organic Geochemistry, Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He holds a dual appointment of Principal Research Scientist at the CAS Centre for Pearl River Delta Environmental Pollution and Control Research. His current research interests are fate and effects of endocrine disrupting chemicals and pharmaceuticals and personal care products in the environment, management and control of chemicals in catchments, and environmental issues associated with wastewater and biosolid reuse. He is interested in the development of chemical and biological tools for the risk assessment of contaminants in soil and water environments.
