Tatsushi Mutoh has received his D.V.M. and Ph.D. degrees in veterinary science from the University of Tokyo during the period of 1995–1998 and the M.D. degree in Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine during the period of 2000–2004. He has completed postdoctoral fellowship at the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, University of California, Davis, during the period of 1998–2000. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Nuclear Medicine and Radiology, Institute of Development, Aging and Cancer (IDAC), Tohoku University (Sendai, Japan), and as a Visiting Researcher at the Research Institute for Brain and Blood Vessels-AKITA (Akita, Japan). His current research interests are intensive hemodynamic monitoring of systemic and cerebral hemodynamics, CNS neuronal signal input and transmission from the cardiorespiratory system, and hemodynamic management strategy for cerebral vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage.
