Hung ‐Min Sun received his B.S. degree in applied mathematics from the National Chung Hsing University, Taichung, Taiwan, in 1988, his M.S. degree in applied mathematics from the National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 1990, and his Ph.D. degree in computer science and information engineering from the National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1995. He was an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Management, Chaoyang University of Technology, Taichung, Taiwan, from 1995 to 1999, the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, from 1999 to 2002, and the Department of Computer Science, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, from 2002 to 2008. Currently he is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, National Tsing Hua University. Sun has published over 100 international journal and conference papers. He was the Program Cochair of 2001 National Information Security Conference and the Program Committee Member of 1997 and 2005 Information Security Conference in Taiwan. His research interests include information security, cryptography, and network security. He got the Y. Z. Hsu Scientific Paper Award from Far Eastern Y. Z. Hsu Science and Technology Memorial Foundation in 2010.
