Jin-Li Hu has been a Professor at the Institute of Business and Management, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, since 2005. Before joining NCTU in 2002, he has taught (full time) in Ming Chuan College, Guishan, Taiwan, and in Tamkang University, Taipei, Taiwan. Hu received a B.S. degree in industrial engineering/economics from National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1989, and a Ph.D. degree in economics from State University of New York at Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY, USA, in 1995. His research interests include Chinese economies, decision science, and sustainable development. He does both theoretical and empirical studies. Up to June 2013, Dr. Hu has published 127 referred papers in academic journals and books. Dr. Hu is honored with the 2012 Asia's Best Professor in Economics. He is an Executive Editor of Journal of Management and Systems (TSSCI), the Chief Editor of Agricultural and Resources Economics, the Editor-in-Chief of Open Environmental Sciences, an Editor of Taiwanese Agricultural Economic Review (TSSCI), and also in the editorial boards of Chiao Da Management Review (TSSCI), Journal of Management Research (ABI), Australian Journal of Business and Management Research (ABI), ISRN Economics, Journal of Energy, and many others. Professor Hu is in the Board of Directors of Taiwan Efficiency and Productivity Association and Taiwan Institute of Marketing Science.
