Jyh-Hong Chou

Professor Jyh-Horng Chou received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Engineering Science from National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan, in 1981 and 1983, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Mechatronic Engineering from National Sun Yat-Sen University, Taiwan, in 1988. He is currently a Professor of System Information and Control at National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology, and a Professor of Electrical Engineering at National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences, Taiwan. He has coauthored four books and published many journal papers and conference papers. He also holds four patents (three are in the area of automation technology, and one is in the area of computational intelligence). His research and teaching interests include the following areas: artificial intelligence, information technology and system integration, system modeling and simulation, dynamic systems and control, integration technology of automation systems, numerical analysis and computational mathematics, optimization approaches. Till now, he has served as the editorial work of 12 international journals and the program committee member of many international conferences. (website:
