Khaled Chahine is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Lebanese International University, Beirut, Lebanon. He received his Diploma in electrical and electronics engineering in 2007 from the Lebanese University Faculty of Engineering III, Beirut, Lebanon, his M.S. degree in electronic systems and electrical engineering in 2007 from Polytech Nantes, Nantes, France, and his Ph.D. degree in electrical and electronics engineering (signal processing) in 2010 from the University of Nantes, Nantes, France. In 2010, Dr. Chahine joined Blaise Pascal University, Clermont-Ferrand, France, as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where he worked on developing a smart energy meter in collaboration with Landis+Gyr. Dr. Chahine has a number of refereed journal and conference papers. His research interests are statistical signal processing, blind source separation, electromagnetic material characterization, and nonintrusive appliance load monitoring.
