Manabu Shirotani

Manabu Shirotani received his M.D. degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan, in 1983, and his Ph.D. degree from the Postgraduate School of Medicine of the same university in 1991. He served as the Director of the Cardiology Department at Shizuoka Prefectural General Hospital from 1997 to 1999, and then he became the Associate Professor in the Cardiology Department at Nara Hospital, Kinki University School of Medicine, since 1999. He was appointed as the Professor of medicine and as the Director of the same department at the same institution in 2010. His major areas of research are related to cardiovascular intervention and coronary artery vasospasm. He currently serves as a Manuscript Reviewer for a number of cardiology journals.
