Vishali Gupta, Ph.D., works as an Associate Professor at the Advanced Eye Center at PGIMER Chandigarh. Her major areas of interest are the intraocular infections and inflammations and the vitreoretinal diseases, and she is actively involved in the practice as well as research in these fields. She is a Member of International Uveitis Study Group and is the first Indian to be a Member of the Macula society. She is the only Indian who is a Member of Club Jules Gonin. She served as the Secretary of Uveitis society of India and Joint Secretary of the Vitreoretinal Society of India. She has received several awards. She authored several book chapters in various text books. She has made more than 350 presentations in several national and international meetings. She is actively involved in research in the field of intraocular infections with special interest in tuberculosis and has got a US patent for multiplex PCR.
