Geraldo Botelho obtained B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mathematics from the UNICAMP (Universidade Estadual de Campinas), Brazil, and postdoc degree at the Universidad de València (Spain). He has been serving as a Permanent Faculty Member at the Faculdade de Matemática of the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia and as a Director from 1998 to 2004. His invited visits were to the University of Potsdam, the University of Oldenburg, the Kent State University, the Universidad de València, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, the University College Dublin, and the Polish Academy of Sciences (Warsaw). His current interests focus on functional analysis, the Banach space theory, multilinear and polynomial operators, infinite dimensional holomorphy, and spaceability and lineability in topological vector spaces.
