Ciro A. Rodriguez is Professor at Tecnologico de Monterrey – Campus Monterrey. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1989. In 1997, he received a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in manufacturing. He worked in the automotive industry as supervisor of Computer-Aided Design. Currently, he is director of the Center for Innovation in Design and Technology at Tecnologico de Monterrey – Campus Monterrey. Prof. Rodriguez leads a research group in Intelligent Machines since 2004, with funding from the Mexican government agencies, European Union, and several companies. He has been invited speaker at conferences and seminars in Italy, Spain, Colombia, Cuba, Venezuela, El Salvador, Costa Rica and the USA. His current research interests are in medical devices, additive manufacturing, tissue engineering and machine tools.
