Carlo Nebbia received a D.V.M degree (110/110 cum laude) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Turin, Italy, in 1980. He was a researcher in veterinary toxicology in 1983, an Associate Professor in toxicology of residues in food of animal origin and Reader in veterinary toxicology in 1991, and a Full Professor in veterinary pharmacology and toxicology in 2001. Since 1992, he has been a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and since 2001, he has been a Member of the Advisory Board of The Veterinary Journal. Moreover, he is a Founding Member of the European College of Veterinary Toxicology in 1994 and a Founding Member of the European College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology in 1997. In 1999, he was appointed as a Referent for the course in veterinary biotechnology at the Turin University. In July 2003, he was appointed as the Vice President of the European College for Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology. In May 2006, he was appointed as a scientific expert of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and a Member of the FEEDAP Panel. Moreover, he was the Chairman of the 10th International Congress of the European Veterinary Association for Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology in September 2006, and in 2008, he had a scientific collaboration with the Italian Food Safety Authority.
