Yuko Ichiyanagi is a Physicist of solid state physics, nanophysics, and nanomedicine. She is an Associate Professor at the Yokohama National University. Since 2007 she has been concurrently a Researcher of Precursor Research for Embryonic Science and Technology of Japan Science and Technology Agency and developed magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications. She was selected as an Academician of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization Japan in 2010. Ichiyanagi chaired an International Conference on Magnetism in 2006 and received an excellent poster award at that time. She got a prize of Industrial Times at 9th Annual Meeting of Society of Nanoscience and Technology in 2011. In recent years she focused on the magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications and got some important success.
