Gert Pfurtscheller received the M.S. and
Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from
the Graz University of Technology, Graz,
Austria. He is a Professor of medical informatics,
Director of the Laboratory of
Brain-Computer Interfaces, Graz University
of Technology, and Director of the Ludwig
Boltzmann-Institute for Medical Informatics
and Neuroinformatics. His research
interests include functional brain topography,
the design of brain-computer communication systems, and
navigation in virtual environments by a brain-computer interface.
