Marc Bilodeau

Marc Bilodeau is a clinician-scientist in hepatology. After completing his medical studies with a subspecialty in gastroenterology, he undertook basic research training in liver regeneration in Montréal and in Rennes, France. Since 1995, he serves as a Full Researcher in Hepatology at the Centre de recherche du CHUM-Hôpital Saint-Luc and Member of the Liver Unit at the same institution. His focuses of interest are the control of hepatocellular apoptosis, hepatitis C in vitro models, hepatocellular carcinoma, and clinical liver transplantation. He works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine of Université de Montréal since 2003. He is PI of clinical research trials in the fields of hepatitis C and liver transplantation. Bilodeau has been appointed as the next Director of the National Canadian Research Training Program in Hepatitis C of the CIHR.
