Wan Kuen Jo is a Full Professor of the Department of Environmental Engineering at Kyungpook National University in Korea. He has a B.S. degree in applied chemistry from the Kyungpook National University, M.S. degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering Department from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, USA, and a Ph.D. degree in Joint Graduate Program of Exposure Assessment, Environmental Science Department, Rutgers University, University of Medicine, and Dentistry of New Jersey-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, USA. He has been a Member of ISEA, JAWMA, and other professional societies associated with environmental researches since 1990. His research and teaching activities focus on indoor as well as outdoor air pollution measurements and control and human exposure assessment. He has published 121 research articles in several professional journals, including 65 international professional journals. In addition, he has presented more than hundred international and domestic articles. He is a chapter Author for the Encyclopedia of Environmental Health, Burlington, Elsevier (2011). He has received various awards, including a Fellowship Award from the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute, New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (1988), a Minister Award from the Korean Ministry of Environment (2000), an award for the outstanding research paper from the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (2004), and an award for an outstanding research professor from Kyungpook National University (2009). Kuen has served KESCA as a Chief Editor from 1999 to 2001 and as an Editorial Member since 2002. He serves on numerous environment-related committees of Korean government and industries.
