Matthias Winter

Matthias Winter received his Ph.D. degree from Stuttgart University, Stuttgart, Germany in 1993. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, NJ, USA, and at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK, in 1993-1994 and 1994–1996, respectively. He worked as a Scientific Assistant at Stuttgart University in 1996–2005, Lecturer at Brunel University, London, UK, in 2005–2007, and Senior Lecturer at the same university since 2007. Winter's research interests are nonlinear partial differential equations, nonlinear functional analysis, calculus of variations, dynamical systems, reaction-diffusion systems, pattern formation, and mathematical biology.
