Shyy W. Chang

Shyy Woei Chang is a Professor at National Kaohsiung Marine University (NKMU), Taiwan. He received his B.E. degree in 1992, Ph.D. in 1995, and D.S. in 2010 from the University of Wales, Swansea, UK. In NKMU, he has served as the Dean of Maritime and Transportation Faculty, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Dean of Research and Development Office. He has published over 70 SCI international journal papers, over 40 refreed journal and international conference papers and currently serves as the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Energy and Technology and in the Editorial Board of the Open Thermodynamics Journal and ISRN Mechanical Engineering. He has established the Thermal Fluids Laboratory in NKMU with his main research interests focused on gas turbine blade cooling, piston cooling, heat transfer in swinging channel, cooling of electronic chipsets and systems, passive heat transfer enhancement, boiling/condensation flow, and the air-water two phase flows for drainage applications.
