Khalid Hussain is a Reader in pediatric endocrinology and an Honorary Consultant Pediatric Endocrinologist. He is qualified from the University of Glasgow and holds the academic degrees of MBChB, M.D., M.S., and MRCPCH degrees. His research interests focus on understanding the genetic mechanisms of hypoglycemia and understanding the developmental biology of the pancreas, the molecular basis of rare diabetes mellitus syndromes, and the mechanism of hypoglycemia brain injury. His area of expertise is in the field of glucose physiology.
