Youwei Zhang

Youwei Zhang received his Ph.D. degree from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 2002. From 2003 to 2009, he received his postdoctoral training with Drs. Robert T. Abraha and Tony Hunter in La Jolla, Calif, USA. In Spring 2009, Zhang joined the Department of Pharmacology at Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University. Zhang is interested in dissecting the detailed molecular mechanisms underlying the activation of the cell cycle checkpoints and DNA damage response and translating that knowledge into potential anticancer treatment.
