George Tsoulos
George Tsoulos graduated from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Athens, Greece, in 1992, and received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Bristol, Bristol, UK, in 1997. From 1994 until 1999, he was a Research Associate and then a Research Fellow at the University of Bristol, working in the area of smart antennas for wireless communications. From 1999 until 2002, he was with the Global Technology Centre of the PA Consulting Group, in Cambridge, UK, where he worked for a range of leading companies across the world in the design and analysis of advanced wireless communication systems. Between 2003 and 2004 he was with the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems, Athens, Greece, funded by the CEC, the Greek Ministry of Development and INTRACOM S.A., in the context of the programme ENTER. Since 2004 he has been with the School of Science and Technology, Greek Open University, as a tutor for the course Fundamental Issues of Computer Networks, and with the Microwaves and Fiber Optics Telecommunications Lab of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University, Athens, Greece, as a Senior Research Scientist involved in a research project on MIMO systems funded by the CEC, the Greek Ministry of Development and Ellemedia Tech., in the context of the programme PENED 2003. His current position is an Assistant Professor at the University of Peloponnese, Department of Telecommunication Sciences and Technology, Wireless Communications Lab. His research interests include advanced wireless communication systems, smart antennas, MIMO systems, radiowave propagation and network planning.
