Teodoro Georgiadis received a Ph.D. degree (Laurea) in physics and in astronomy from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy. He is a Senior Scientist at IBIMET-CNR Institute of Biometeorology of the Italian National Research Council and is principally involved in research on surface energy balances, air-vegetation interactions, and urban climatology. He was a Member of the Council of Professors of the Ph.D. Course in Agrometeorology and Ecophysiology, University of Sassari (Italy) and Professor of atmospheric physics and environmental methodologies. He is actually a Professor of micrometeorology applied to urban environment in postdoctoral courses. Georgiadis is a Coordinator and Principal Investigator in some international and national scientific programs; Expert Evaluator for the V, VI Framework Programs of the European Communities and Reviewer of S&T Project proposals for some local Authorities. He was Member of the Expert Team and of the Support Team of the CNR Scientific Committees and Member of the CNR Technology Transfer Team; Reviewer of the CNR Office for Strategic Programs for the proposal submitted to CNR in the field of technology transfer; Member of the National Directories of Experts of the Ministry of University and Research and of the Ministry of Productive Activities; National Delegate in IUGG-IAMAS; Member of the Executive Council of Italian Federation of Hearth Sciences; Member of the Executive Council of the Italian Geophysical Association.
