Kadriye Tuzlakoglu, born in 1976 in Sakarya, Turkey, graduated from Department of Chemical Engineering, Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey, in 1998. Tuzlakoglu completed his M.S. degree in the same department and in 2000 he received the title of Senior Engineer. From 2000 to 2001, Tuzlakoglu worked as a Research Assistant at Hacettepe University. In January 2008, Tuzlakoglu completed his Ph.D. degree in biomaterials. In 2008, Tuzlakoglu worked on EXPERTISSUES (European Network of Excellence, NMP3-CT-2004-500283) project. Tuzlakoglu joined TUBITAK between May 2008 and May 2009 with a postdoctoral fellowship from the Hacettepe University in Turkey. Tuzlakoglu worked as a Postdoc at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering. From January 2010, Tuzlakoglu has served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Polymer Engineering University of Yalova. Tuzlakoglu’s areas of expertise include biodegradable polymers and characterization of the process, a variety of tissue scaffold designs for tissue engineering applications, tissue engineering for the in vitro cell culture studies, and controlled drug delivery systems for tissue engineering applications.
