Yair Reisner

Prof Reisner numerous research contributions ,enabling the use of bone marrow transplantation for patients without a matched donor, are internationally recognized. His papers were published extensively in top journals including Nature Medicine, Science, New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Blood, and Immunity . Prof Reisner received many awards including the Bortimer prize from the American Society of Blood and Bone Marrow transplantation, and over the past ten years he has served as the president of a most prestigious symposium dedicated to haplo-identical bone marrow transplantation. During 2004-2009 he served as an associate editor for Experimental Hematology and between 2005-2007 as the president of the Israeli Stem Cell Society. Prof. Reisner is the chairman of the Department of Immunology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, in Israel.
