Vincent de Groot
Vincent de Groot (1971) received his M.D. degree in 1996. After his registration as a Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine in 2004, he has been working as a Rehabilitation Physician and Researcher in the VU University Medical Center Amsterdam. In 2007 he obtained his Ph.D. degreewith the title ?Outcome measurement and functional prognosis in multiple sclerosis.? Since then he has been involved in research projects on Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Ankle Foot Orthoses, and Obstetric Brachial Plexus Palsy. He is a Member of the Scientific Committee of the Netherlands Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and Member of the Executive Board of the European Organization, Rehabilitation on Multiple Sclerosis (RIMS). His areas of expertise are clinical epidemiology, clinimetrics, MS, treatment with intrathecally administered baclofen, gait analysis, orthotic management of the lower extremity, and obstetric brachial plexus palsy.
