Moore is an Assistant Professor and the Director of the Laboratory of Molecular Neurodegenerative Research at the Brain Mind Institute of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. Dr. Moore received a B.S. degree in molecular biology and genetics from the University of East Anglia (Norwich, UK) in 1998 and a Ph.D. degree in molecular neuroscience from the University of Cambridge (Cambridge, UK) in 2001 conducted in the laboratory of Piers Emson. Dr. Moore conducted postdoctoral research with Ted Dawson in the Department of Neurology and Morris K. Udall Parkinson’s Disease Research Center of Excellence at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 2002 to 2005 and later joined the Faculty of the Department of Neurology at Johns Hopkins in 2005 initially as an Instructor and was appointed Assistant Professor in 2006.
