Dr Xiong is a tribology engineer at Sentient Corporation, USA. He got his PhD on metal forming at Northeastern University of China. He has worked at Northeastern University (China), Instituto Superior Tecnico (Portugal) and Northwestern University(USA). His main researches focus on the modelling of tribology and metal forming process. He has strong background on numerical methods such as finite element, finite difference and meshfree methods, and has published one co-authored book and more than 30 co-authored international journal papers.
