James Zins

James E. Zins graduated from Philips Exeter Academy, NH, USA, in 1966, and from Princeton University, NJ, USA, in 1970, and he received his M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Pa, USA, in 1974. Dr. Zins served his internship, general surgery residency, and residency in plastic surgery at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed a fellowship in craniofacial surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a maxillofacial fellowship at Great Ormond Street and University College Hospital in London. He joined The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1983 and was appointed as the Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery in 1992. He is also a Professor of surgery (nontenure track) of the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Moreover, Dr. Zins serves on numerous committees of plastic surgery societies and has written over 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals in plastic surgery as well as numerous book chapters. Additionally, he has been a Member of the Editorial Board of the Annals of Plastic Surgery Journal since 2005 and was recently named as an Associate Editor for the Aesthetic Section of Annals. He recently joined the Editorial Staff of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. Dr. Zins has been a Member of the Scientific Program Committee of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons since 2006 and was the Scientific Program Chairman at the AAPS Meeting in March 2009.
