Sadhan C. Jana
Sadhan C. Jana is currently a Professor of the Department of Polymer Engineering at The University of Akron. He received his Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University, Ill, USA, in 1993, worked at General Electric Corporate Research Center for almost four years, and joined the University of Akron in 1998. He received the prestigious National Science Foundation Faculty Early CAREER Award in 2002. He is also an author of over 100 peer-reviewed articles in journals and conference proceedings and 10 patent applications. Jana serves on the Board of Directors of the Engineering Properties and Structures Division and of the New Technology Division of Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE). He is a Fellow of the Society of Plastics Engineers. His current research focus is on aerogels, novel polymer nanofibers, shape memory polymer nanocomposites, and polymer nanocomposites by self-assembly approach. His biography is listed in Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, and Who’s Who in Plastics and Polymers. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor of Polymer Engineering and Science and in the editorial boards of International Journal of Polymer Science, Journal of Plastic Film and Sheeting, and Materials and Manufacturing Processes.
