Dechang Chen received his B.S. degree in mathematics from the Southeast University, China, M.S. degree in mathematics from the Peking University, China, M.S. degree in statistics, and Ph.D. degree in mathematics from SUNY at Buffalo, NY, USA. Currently, Chen is an Associate Professor at the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Md, USA. His research interests include statistical learning and its applications (in bioinformatics, computational medicine, and ad hoc sensor networks), applied statistics, and partial differential equations.
