Toru Oga
0000-0001-7718-8652Toru Oga gained his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University, Japan. He is a pulmonary specialist certified by the Japanese Respiratory Society. Regarding his professional experience, during the period from 2003 to 2007, he worked as an Industry-Government-Academic Collaboration Researcher at the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Kyoto University. From 2007 to 2008, he held the position of an Assistant Professor at the Rehabilitation Unit (Respiratory Medicine), Kyoto University Hospital. Since 2008, he has worked at the Department of Respiratory Care and Sleep Control Medicine, Kyoto University Faculty of Medicine as a Senior Lecturer and has also been an Editorial board Member of the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. His clinical research interests are respiratory, allergy, sleep and rehabilitation medicines (mainly in the area of COPD and Asthma), and his basic research interests are fibrogenesis and inflammation.
