Judith K. Wolf
Judith K. Wolf earned her medical degree from College of Medicine, Northeastern Ohio Universities after receiving her B.S. degree from the University of Akron. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a fellowship in gynecologic surgery at the University of innesota. Additionally, she completed clinical and research fellowships in gynecologic oncology at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and earned a master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. In 1995, Dr. Wolf joined the Faculty of M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Her research on gynecologic cancers has been published in journals including Gynecologic Oncology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, International Journal of Oncology, and Clinical Cancer Research. She continues to conduct research, particularly in the area of gene therapy for ovarian cancer. She is also active in local and national societies regarding gynecologic malignancies including Society of Gynecologic Oncology, The American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association of Cancer Research, Houston Gynecological and Obstetrics Society, of which she is President since 2003, and she is the Head of the Board of Directors of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition’s main goal is the education of women and primary care physicians about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. Dr. Wolf is also the Chair Person and Founder of the 5K fun run Sprint for Life which has thus to date raised over two million dollars for ovarian cancer research and is held every May at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.
