Kathleen Finlayson obtained her B. Nursing, M. Nursing (primary health care), and Ph.D. degrees in 1991-1992, 1998, and 2010, respectively, all from Queensland University of Technology. She is a Research Fellow at the School of Nursing and Midwifery and Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation (IHBI) at Queensland University of Technology. Dr. Finlayson’s current research activities are primarily based in IHBI’s Wound Healing Research program and the Wound Management Innovation Cooperative Research Centre. Over the past 15 years, she has worked on research projects relating to wound management, primary health care and health service delivery, chronic disease management, and evidence-based practice. Her specific areas of expertise include wound management, venous leg ulcers, chronic disease management, evidence-based practice, translational research, systematic reviews, clinical trials, and community care.
