Frank G. Holz
Frank G. Holz received a degree from the Medical School, University of Heidelberg, Germany, in 1989. He is a Professor and the Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Bonn. His scientific interests include the pathogenesis, prognostic factors, biomarkers and treatment macular and retinal diseases, and innovative retinal imaging technologies including fundus autofluorescence. Professor Holz has been a founder of the Priority Program AMD of the German Research Council (DFG). He is a Board Member of the German Ophthalmological Society (DOG) and Euretina, is the Editor-in-Chief of Der Ophthalmologe, and serves as a reviewer for many peer-reviewed journals. He has received numerous awards including the ARI Award and the Senior Achievement Award of the AAO. He published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
