Jim A. Anderson

Jim A. Anderson holds a 6th century Chair in materials at the University of Aberdeen and runs a surface chemistry and catalysis group based in the Department of Chemistry of which he is currently the Head. He has over 20 years reseach experience in catalysis and has worked in the UK, Europe, and the US. He has held Royal Society, J.W.T Jones, and ICI fellowships. He is currently UK representative on the European Federation of Catalysis Societies. His main activities involve environmental catalysis, and fuel and chemical processing including fine chemicals. He has supervised ca 24 research students and over 40 research assistants and postdoctorals. He has published over 130 papers and presented keynote, plenary, and invited lectures and international conferences. He is coauthor and editor of Supported Metals in Catalysis, ICP, London, 2004. He is on the editorial boards of Catalysis Letters, Topics in Catalysis, and Catalysis Today.
