Harry Boyer is an Engineer from the Electrical Engineering School of the University of Montpellier, France, and he received the Ph.D. degree in 1993 from INSA de Lyon, France, in building physics. He was appointed as the Head of Research Capacity from Reunion Island University (1999). In 1994, he became an Assistant Professor of mechanical engineering and the Head of the Civil Engineering Research team at the Reunion Island University, French overseas territory, Indian Ocean. Since 2001, he has been serving as a Full Professor of mechanical engineering at the Laboratory of Building Physics and Systems at Reunion Island University. He (co)authored numerous papers in building physics and specifically building simulation and model validation, passive design, and solar and renewable energy. He is an Editorial Board Member of Energy and Buildings and International Journal of Sustainable Cities and Society from Elsevier.
