Shripad T. Revankar is a Professor of nuclear engineering and Director of Multiphase and Fuel Cell Research Laboratory at the School of Nuclear Engineering, Purdue University. Dr. Revankar’s distinguished career spans over 25 years. Dr. Revankar received his B.S. (1975), M.S. (1977), and Ph.D. (1983) degrees in physics from Karnatak University, India, and his M.Eng. degree (1982) in nuclear engineering from McMaster University, Canada. Dr. Revankar got a postdoctoral training at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory and at the Nuclear Engineering Department of the University of California, Berkeley, from 1984 to 1987. He is an outstanding Researcher and Teacher and extremely Active Member in a number of professional societies. He has made significant contributions in the areas of nuclear reactor thermal hydraulics and safety, multiphase heat transfer, multiphase flow in porous media, instrumentation and measurement, fuel cell design, simulation and power systems, and nuclear hydrogen generation. He has published over 200 technical papers in archival journals and conference proceedings. He has received teaching and research awards. He is a Fellow ASME. He received Conference Best Paper Award at the 1991 ASME National Heat Transfer Conference. He is currently the Chair of ASME K-13 Committee, Executive Member, Transport and Energy Processes Division of American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and the Chair of the Nuclear and Radiological Division of American Society for Engineering Education. He has served as the Chair of the Thermal Hydraulics Division of American Nuclear Society. He currently serves on editorial board of International Journal of Heat Exchanger, Heat Transfer Engineering, Journal of Thermodynamics, and ASME Journal of Fuel Cell Science and Technology.
