Konstantinos Salonitis graduated from University of Patras (GR) with a Diploma in mechanical engineering in 2001 and was awarded a Ph.D. degree on manufacturing processes in 2006. He has worked as a Research Engineer at the University of Patras in a number of research projects funded by the CEU. He has participated in more than 10 projects as Project Manager or Technical Site Manager. From 2006 to 2010, Dr. Salonitis was the Project Manager of an FP6 integrated project (FUTURA) on multifunctional materials processing. He joined Cranfield University (UK) in February 2012 as a Lecturer in manufacturing systems. He is the Director of Manufacturing Systems and Management programme. Dr. Salonitis has published more than 130 research papers in major international journals and internationally referred conferences. He is a research affiliate of the CIRP, a chartered engineer, a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering (IMechE), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), and a Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
