René Holm received his pharmaceutical training at the Royal Danish School of Pharmacy, now the Pharmaceutical Faculty at University of Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1998, and his Ph.D. degree in biopharmaceutics from the same institution in 2002. Dr. Holm joined Lundbeck in 2001 and worked within pharmaceutical development, formulations for nonclinical testing in drug discovery, physical chemistry, and material science and is now a Divisional Director for the Functional Unit responsible for the CMC development of biological development, pharmaceutical research, and preformulation, that is, in practice tasks from drug discovery, over development and trouble shooting in production. Further, Dr. Holm is an Adjunct Associate Professor in drug delivery at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Copenhagen University. His scientific interests include biopharmaceutics, in particular transporters influence on oral drug absorption and formulations for low soluble drugs and physical pharmacy.
