My research areas include the study of the mechanism of action of Cry1A toxins from Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt); identification and characterization of proteins that are receptors for Cry1A toxins in lepidopteran insects, and the identification of regions on Cry1A toxins that are important for specificity and toxicity.
