Paul Bresser is a Ph.D. degree holder. He serves as a Consultant in respiratory medicine at the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. From 1992 to 2009, he worked as an Associate Professor of medicine at the Academic Medical Center of the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He participates in various international networks on the diagnosis and treatment of both disease entities. His current research interests are focused on the pathophysiology and treatment of pulmonary hypertension, with a special interest in chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary hypertension secondary to interstitial lung disease.
