Peter J. Fagenholz
Peter J. Fagenholz earned his M.D. degree from New York University, NY, USA, in 2002. He completed his training in general surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass, USA, in 2009 and spent a year at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, Scotland, before returning to Massachusetts General Hospital, completing a fellowship in surgical critical care, and joining the faculty at the Department of Surgery. He is currently an Attending Trauma Surgeon at Massachusetts General Hospital and an Instructor in surgery at Harvard Medical School. His interests include gastrointestinal surgery, pancreatitis, surgical critical care, minimally invasive surgery, hernia, ultrasound, surgical training in the developing world, and high-altitude illness and hypoxia.
