Vikram Chandrasekhar is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Texas (UT) Austin, Tex, USA (expected graduation in May 2009). He completed his B.S. degree at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2000 and his M.S. degree at Rice University in 2003. From 2003 to 2005, he worked as a staff software engineer designing baseband modulation and demodulation algorithms at the National Instruments, Austin, Tex, USA. His current research focuses on fundamental limits and algorithms for femtocell, microcellular, and hotspot-aided broadband cellular networks. In addition, he has held industry positions at the National Instruments, Freescale, and Texas Instruments.
