Romain Debret is a CNRS researcher, the French National Centre for Scientific Research. He received a PhD degree in 2005 from the University of Reims (France), in the Laboratory of Dermatology headed by Pr. Philippe Bernard. He acquired specific skills in molecular and cellular biology with regards to gene regulation processes in melanoma and T cells. From 2006 to 2008, he participated in the European program “ELASTAGE” as a postdoc to study the regulation of genes coding for skin extracellular matrix components, with age-related deregulation of elastic fibres as paradigm. In 2008, he joined the CNRS with a scientific project dealing with biomechanical and biochemical microenvironment signals interplay on the epigenetic regulation of extracellular matrix-related genes and dermal cells reprogramming. He is a Member of the French Society of Dermatological Research (SRD).
